I was lucky enough to be in Shanghai during their 2010 world's fair known as Expo 2010 and even though I had been sick leading up to my only free day* of the week, I was determined to at least spend some time there.
I spent three or four hours at the Expo and yet - if I recall correctly - I didn't end up stepping foot in a single exhibit: the site was so massive and sprawling that simply trying to see the exterior of a majority took long enough!
Accordingly, I don't have much more to say on the subject but fortunately I did take a number of photos, so think of this chapter more as a photo essay. Without further adieu:
* This was before China instituted mandatory days off for workers, and because they didn't get them off, we didn't either. So Sunday was the only free day we had.
